Your Love Fills the Emptiness

Lost in the sea of your hair
Drunk of it’s sweet smell
Grateful for how it clings
To my upper lip
As I greet your neck with a kiss
There’s no smile
Or smell like yours
The first pink flower of spring
Blooming as morning sings
It’s Awakening
A moth drawn to flame of night
I look forward to the day
I can relish in this bliss forevermore
Never growing weary
Of having you near me
For I’m a man of simple needs
Bread when hungry
Water when thirsting
And your love to fill the emptiness

Love Etched In Stone

Like the return of morrow’s sun
When the moon
Submerges into the sea to rest
My love for you is assured
Feelings etched in stone
Leading to my heart’s throne
I only wish to care;
Play in your hair
While your skin
Soaks in my stare
I’ve prayed for this, for when
I may meet you with a kiss
That holds years of affection
Within its depths
Cherishing every moment
Of closeness
Each new day provides,
Taking not
A single moment for granted
