Madam’s Light Lingers Through Leaves

6/24/2018

I come to you unshaven
Swimming through the labyrinth
Of my thoughts, I gather leaves
In search for love’s answers
As to where is my
Never wilting flower;
Does she not hear my cry
Or see not the statues of amour
With each thought of my inadequacy
Lightning strikes glass you see
Deconstructing sand
Into puddles of land
Where I work the soil.
Planting pink fruits of truth;
Listing every reason why
You make me smile
Creating untainted rivers of care
For when I see her face
For when I hold her grace
